Interview on Zuihitsu

While working on my COMPS essay yesterday, I found this awesome article. It's from a couple of years ago, but it's the best explanation of the zuihitsu form I've come across, and Kimiko Hahn rocks in it!

Yay! Are you discussing the Unbearable Hearts book you posted about? I'm dying to read that now. I just got the Black Lightning one at the end of last week and am looking forward to reading that too!

Yes, we're talking about The Unbearable Heart. The latter half of the book has quite a bit of explicit sex; I'm worried students will try to get me fired 'cuz I made them read about penises and stuff. Oops.

Ha ha. A student stripped down to her bra and underwear for one of her poems about truth last fall during the poetry reading. No one got in trouble! :)
