That's exciting to hear about MTSU! I'm at a school that is sooooo conservative and business/capitalism-oriented that the idea of a protest is nowhere to be seen. :( I just read an e-mail about a whole bunch of majors being eliminated at UNC Chapel Hill, too. Sign of the times, I guess. Though frankly I'm not sure how eliminating majors is supposed to save money, especially in the short run. I suppose it just makes it easier not to have to hire more tenure-track faculty....
